Austin Stevens met with Sydney-based artist and fellow South African Tom Godfrey at his home in Port Stephens. The resulting collaboration will see Tom using Austin's world famous and award winning wildlife photographs as references for the creation of his spectacular artwork.

Tom Godfrey and his wife Jayne traveled from Sydney and joined Austin and Amy Stevens for lunch in Nelson Bay before finalising their plans.

Tom's realistic approach to painting wildlife instantly appealed to Austin, whose photographs will be an invaluable reference for Tom's acrylic and pastel paintings. Tom's work has been featured in Australian Artist magazine and last year Tom was awarded 'Best On Show' at the Oatley 101, 10th Annual Members Exhibition for a piece featuring a gorilla.
